Google Commerce
In our previous article we discussed about preparing for the holiday season, and how your internet business can be better prepared. Today, the hot topic of the net is Google’s New Commerce search site. Well Internet search Engine Giant, Google is unveiling a new search service that would cater to retailers, targeting e-commerce sites, called Google Commerce Search.
Google sure knows how to time its new innovation, and the Google Commerce is considered in a way to enhance website conversions and sales, which would endorse products within Google’s search links, organize search solution quickly and with ease. The most important factor is it tailor made to optimize performance as described by the Official Google Blog.

The Google Commerce Search is based on cloud computing and online retailers will benefit from it quickly, since they will not have to worry about seasonal business peaks and will help customers find precise results very quickly, to the benefit of customers and retailers alike. This means customers will have better shopping experience in relevance to the holiday season rush. It has also meant a better shopping experience for our customers, which is critical given the holiday season rush. What is the difference between Google Commerce and Froogle. Did Google Re-brand Froogle?

That’s Right….what’s the difference?? Will Google will do something to keep our billing information safe??

Hi
This is a great question Rich_son basically Froogle was a product search engine, but not too many people heard of it until Google added Froogle to its search pages, it accepts shopping site product feeds into its search index for no fee. Google Base’s (if you remember it), basic purpose was to submit content you own anything from your recipe to a list of kung fu movies. Basically it seems that Google Commerce search is a more powerful hybrid of both and a bit of Google Custom search, which sits on Cloud Technology that you pay for ( it seems google has relised that its current revunue model for ads has limits and is moving to other revunue seeking areas hence all the new apps they are creating. I am actuallly thinking of writing an article for the blog on this topic of Google Commerce V Froogle as I have been asked it a few times now. While Google Commerce search is a good thing on one level there are a few down sides that i think i might address in the article too. Great question

Microsoft’s Bing attracts online shoppers by its cash-back activities. What strategy and catch will Google use?

As an online shopper, will this help me find difference of pricing for the same product….for example for a pair of slippers will Google Commerce show options on different pricing?

Yes it can help you to find your article easier and do comparision basied on price, brand , category or any other attribute. Personally it has an up side and a downside in my opinion, it can be great for customer experience andfor people using it my main concern is with all the people who already have a built ecommerce site and what it means for them in terms of organic searches and if this means that they will rank lower, theres food for thought!

MM good question but ask yourself this Google is the world leader of search facilities etc do they need to use incentives to get people to use it or will people use it in the rush to either not get left behind (bandwagon mentality) or because they fear losing rankings and therefore traffic and potential customers!!!!!!
